Here’s the thing about that “old everything” crowd: there’s a through line. The people loudest about keeping the old Minnesota flag are often the same people flying something else — something that never represented Minnesota at all. Something that, if you were saluting it in 1886, you were on a very specific side of a very settled argument.
This poster names that through line directly.
